KK's 5th Birthday PAR-TAY

So KK's wish for her birthday: a POOL PARTY in December.  Not only that, it had to be a Rupunzel pool party.  How does a Mommy tie that all up into one invitation?  I'd like to think each year I get more and more creative.  See the picture below of our sweet invitations (I always send a picture invite, something to show just how big my babies are getting).

It was the perfect day for a pool party: freezing rain and a constant cold wind.  Her party was a wonderful, tropical retreat from the winter weather warnings outside.  This blog is mostly pictures of the event - we have lots of video but none to post yet.  First, something else I always try to get at each of our parties: a GROUP SHOT!

As you can see, these kiddos were ready to swim!

The pool we got to swim in for an hour and a half.  It was so nice and warm in that water!  By the end of the party, all the kids were worn out but had smiles on their faces.

Daddy was a favorite to play with (or use as a floatation device)

After the last of the swimmers was dry, it was time to start the party.  We had snacks before singing and having some cupcakes.  Here was the party room:

Our friends picked out such amazing gifts, they all definately knew KK well and picked out perfect things that she loved instantly.  But mostly, we loved that they all came and celebrated such a big milestone with our family.  We love each of you so much, thank you for being a part of KK's special day :-)

One last shot of my birthday princess!  She was so happy, she said her party was perfect.  I thought it was too after I saw this smile.
