Water Babies

We love days where Mommy stays home (not as much as we love weekends when Daddy is home too)... today we decided to enjoy the summer weather and headed to the pool. AJ made me laugh, as he woke up from nap and I asked him "do you want to go to the pool" and he immediately laid down and put up his legs for sunscreen... he has got it figured out!

I wanted to take pictures to share, but my hands where full with two little fish who sink like stones if I am not there to hold them. So no pictures - these are from last weekend when Uncle Steve came to visit. Regardless, we had a blast together and got to enjoy the water and sunshine.

KK is fearless in the water. She can swim great with a noodle or her star shaped intertube, but her favorite thing to do is to stand on the stairs or the shelf of our pool and jump into the water and swim to you. She is quite the swimmer, always surprising me with how long she can stay under water and how far she can go. But fearless she is, which means I always have to keep a watch that she doesn't jump before I am there to catch her. Today this little fish decided to play by the bucket pool, something we never do. She was dancing and singing - similar to what I would have to call native dancing - waiting for that bucket to fall and to gush water over her toes. The squeals of delight followed by more dancing made for quite a show for all - but it was cute.

AJ is a water baby like his sister, he has no fear. Today he was walking around in the shallow water and would make himself fall down to "drown" and when I pulled him up he would smile and start laughing like it was sooo funny. I sure didn't think so - but it was fun watching him try to figure how where to fall down and how to fall. He is a toot. Otherwise he snuggled with me in the water while we watched Sissy jump in. He did show me his fearless side once again before we left by trying to mimic his sister and jump in from the ledge. No wonder I was tired after 1.5 hours.... more later!
